Description

The Assistant Trader provides administrative support, trader support and customer service for their respective Division. It is the Assistant Trader's responsibility to be familiar with all aspects of the purchase/sales transaction including terms and conditions of sale. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to place and track orders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing/Re-invoicing – process/assess incoming invoices in order to finalize billing to end user.
  • Claims and Corrections – process any change to an invoice after the initial billing has occurred.
  • Inventory programs – reconciling and audit customer inventory. 
  • Customer pick-ups – maintain and notify customer order is ready for pick up.
  • Sales Reporting – generates daily sales and volume report.
  • Shipment Notifications – generate shipment notification and advise customer.
  • Late Shipment Report – generate and distribute to trading floor.
  • Takes and shops inquiries as needed
  •  Takes contract specs and books contract orders
  • Assists traders with research for sales analysis studies
  • Assists managers with reports and special projects
  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service focus and skill set.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word.
  • Ability to learn the automated systems used by LMC and customer/dealers.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and initiate work
