Description
The Applications Programmer Analyst is responsible for all phases of the life cycle of a system. The incumbent conducts the analysis of new systems, including requirements of the user, hardware, software, and development and is responsible for maintaining and improving existing applications systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for assigned functional areas.
- Provides support to all applications including packaged software and software developed in-house, including installation, training, documentation, programming, database maintenance, change analysis.
- Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs.
- Provides requirements analysis for custom software development, custom software changes and packaged software selection, including goals for completion.
- Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
- Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
- Manages the day-to-day technical aspects of the project lifecycle through deployment; monitors scope changes and understands the impact of changes throughout the system.
- Provides users with customized training and user guides for all custom written applications.
- Makes recommendations to management for implementing changes in custom programs and databases.
- Maintains consistent communication between users and technical team to ensure a single vision for each project/task.
- Creates, maintains and refines all assigned system documentation.
- Works closely with staff to uncover and develop further business uses of desktop technologies.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry trends.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience is required.
- 3-5 years of related application experience
- Experience with SharePoint, including experience with; building complex workflows and integrating those workflows into other systems, Nintex development, and site creation and administration
- Experience with web development, including experience with; API development, web services, IIS/.net, JavaScript, Dotnetnuke
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Microsoft dynamics CRM is preferred.
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
